The authorities' measures to deal with the corona virus COVID-19 affect our route offer. See information about our routes and rules for entry. We regularly follow the advice from the Norwegian authorities, as well as from the authorities in Germany, Denmark and Sweden.
 

Departures and Information

Kiel - Oslo

We offer daily departures from Germany to Norway. Germany is classified as a red area. Please note that the Norwegian and German authorities are constantly adapting the regulations. It is your responsibility to stay tuned and check what regulations apply to you and your trip.

Information

Mini-cruise Kiel - Oslo - Kiel

All travelers must register their entry on entrynorway.no. Registration must be made within 72 hours prior to entry. This also applies to fully vaccinated people, Norwegian citizens and other travelers residing in Norway. Children under the age of 16 are exempt.

TRAVEL WITH A VALID CORONA CERTIFICATE

If you are fully vaccinated (received 2 vaccine doses, and it has been over 1 week since you received the last dose)
or have had COVID-19 in the past 6 months, you can go on a mini cruise:

-  You must register a maximum of 72 hours before entering Norway on entrynorway.no (does not apply to children under 16 years of age) 

- You don't have to be in quarantine.

- You must, however, present your ID (ID card or passport) and a Corona certificate with QR code from an EU / Schengen country that proves that you have been fully vaccinated or that you have had COVID-19 within the past six months.

- You must also be tested at your arrival in Oslo at the test tent at the terminal.

 

Can children travel?

Everyone (also children) whithout a EU/EEA Corona certificate with QR code must be tested for free on arrival Oslo.

Children under 18 years ar excempt from quarantine (in Norway).

Everyone over the age of 16 must register, before they enter Norway. Find the entry registration form here.

TRAVEL WITHOUT A VALID CORONA CERTIFICATE

If you cannot present a valid Corona certificate with QR code (not fully vaccinated / not recovered from Corona within the last 6 months), you can travel with us.

- You must register a maximum of 72 hours before entering Norway on entrynorway.no (does not apply to children under 16 years of age) 

- You must be tested a maximum of 24 hours before your departure to Norway (does not apply to children under 18 years of age)

- You must also be tested at your arrival in Oslo at the test tent at the terminal.

Please note, however, that quarantine is mandatory for travelers from red countries when leaving the ship. We therefore recommend that you stay on board in Oslo. This quarantine requirement does not apply to children under the age of 18.

TRAVELERS THAT STAY IN NORWAY - WITH OR WITHOUT A CAR

Our ships leave from Kiel to Oslo every day at 14:00. Read below which entry requirements apply to you.

From Kiel to Oslo:

From November 26th on all travelers must register their entry on entrynorway.no. Registration must be made within 72 hours prior to entry. This also applies to fully vaccinated people, Norwegian citizens and other travelers residing in Norway. Children under the age of 16 are exempt.

ENTRY WITH A VALID CORONA CERTIFICATE

- You must be tested a maximum of 24 hours before your departure from Kiel to Norway (does not apply to children under 18 years of age)

- You must also be tested at your arrival in Oslo at the test tent at the terminal.

When entering from red countries and areas, put yourself in quarantine for 10 days in a suitable location. You can end the entry quarantine with a negative PCR test no earlier than three days after arrival. Children under the age of 18 do not have to be quarantined.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO SHOW AT CHECK-IN IN KIEL?

Please note: if you cannot present the required documents (valid Corona certificate or proof of a negative test) from the date of departure, you will unfortunately not be able to travel with us.

- a valid passport or ID.

- a valid Corona certificate from an EU / EEA country with QR code, if you are fully vaccinated or have recovered.

OR

- a negative Corona test which is not older than 24 hours at departure from Kiel to Norway

Also remember to arrive well in advance of your departure.

Requirements for the entry from Norway into Germany:

We have a daily departure from Oslo to Kiel at 1400.

ENTRY TO GERMANY

All travelers who have been abroad for more than 24 hours and/or will stay in Germany for more than 24 hours are required to have proof of the absence of an infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus (proof of vaccination, test, recovery) upon arrival. Current information can be found here.

If you have stayed in a high-risk area for more than 24 hours, you must also register online before returning to Germany. Fill in the entry form here.

Children under the age of 12 are exempt. NB! It is not possible to test yourself at the terminal in Oslo on departure.

Travels from Denmark to Norway

We are offering daily departures from Denmark to Norway. Please familiarize yourself with the entry requirements listed below.

Entry with a valid Corona certificate with QR code from an EU / EEA country

- You don't have to be in quarantine.

- You must, however, present your ID (ID card or passport) and a Corona certificate with QR code from an EU / Schengen country that proves that you have been fully vaccinated or that you have had COVID-19 within the past six months.

- You must also be tested no later than 24 hours after your arrival in Norway. The test can be taken in the arrival or destination community. The city of Kristiansand offers tests in the municipality's test station in Kløvertun. The city of Larvik offers tests in the municipality's test station in Gjærdal.

From Kristiansand/Larvik to Hirtshals

Travels from Norway to Denmark

We are now offering daily departures from Denmark to Norway. Please familiarize yourself with the entry requirements listed below.

ENTRY WITH A VALID CORONA CERTIFICATE WITH QR CODE FROM AN EU / EEA COUNTRY

If you are from a green / yellow / orange colored country there are no restrictions. See what color your country is here. However, you must present a corona certificate issued in an EU and Schengen country (see proof requirements here) for a completed vaccination / previously experienced COVID-19 disease.

 

Children

Children from the age of 16 must present a negative test at check-in (requirements from the Danish authorities). A PCR test must be performed less than 72 hours before entry. A rapid test (antigen test) must be performed less than 48 hours before entry at an approved test site, such as a medical office, test station or similar. Children under 16 do not have to present a test.

Entry with a negative test:

If you are entering from a green / yellow country or region with a negative test, there are no restrictions. Proof of a negative Covid-19 test must be presented upon entry. The same applies if you have to travel through Denmark (transit) to get to another country. Denmark accepts the PCR test or the rapid test (antigen test). A PCR test must be performed less than 72 hours prior to entry. A rapid test (antigen test) must be carried out less than 48 hours before entry at an approved test site, such as a medical office, test station or similar. Children under the age of 16 and Danish citizens are exempt from the obligation to test.

 

It is unfortunately not possible to test at the terminal in Larvik and Kristiansand on departure. Read more about where you can test yourself in Kristiansand.

Which documents do I need at Check-In?

Please have the following documents ready before you arrive at the check-in:

- Vaccination certificate with the QR code when you are fully vaccinated / recovered.

OR

- Evidence of a negative rapid test not older than 48 hours before arrival in Denmark (not older than 72 hours for a PCR test).

Remember to be at the port well in advance of departure, at least 1 hour in advance.

Everyone can travel with us from Norway to Sweden. This also applies to children. You do not need to present a valid corona certificate at check-in.
