On board our ships, our guests can make phone calls and go online using their internet-enabled devices.
Wifi
General: A public network is available on board our ships. You can purchase access via a secure payment site via the “ColorGuest” network. The service is provided by Telenor Maritime (TM). The Telenor Maritime network transmits your call and data traffic over the ship's satellite connection. The network opens when the ship is at sea. If the ship is sailing close to shore, you may be connected to a land-based operator.
Prices for wireless internet access may vary or change at short notice. Please refer to the prices displayed in the onboard payment portal for current information.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the transmission speed on board is limited as internet access is provided via a satellite connection, which is also used by the ship's system.
Kiel-Oslo / Oslo-Kiel: Free access for guests of the Color Class cabins and the Color Suites. The WiFi network for conference guests “ColorConference” is also available throughout the ship and is included in the price for conference guests. The access code is issued in the conference department.

Mobile telephony at sea
The provider for mobile telephony on board is “Telenor Maritime (TM)”. This mobile network is satellite-based. The network becomes active as soon as the ship is at sea. If the ship is traveling near the coast, you may be connected to a land-based mobile phone network.
Please ask your provider in advance about roaming charges for using your mobile phone at sea. Long distance calls are more expensive than domestic calls. To avoid further unexpected high costs, be careful when downloading eBooks, music, films, etc. We also recommend that you switch off your answering machine before you travel, as voice messages forwarded there will incur the same charges as if you actually answered a call.
