Things to do

There is plenty to choose from: adventure and national parks for young and old, Hafjell Bikepark, attractions such as the Octagon in Harpefoss, breathtaking cycling routes - with or without a guide, rafting on the Sjoa river and canoe rental in Ringebu. If you are looking for pure relaxation, there are also numerous opportunities for fishing and swimming.

Stick hunt

Kvitfjell is a 40-minute drive north of Lillehammer. The local mountain is 1,044 meters high and from the top you have a fantastic view of the entire region. In summer, sticks are set up all over the mountain and in the surrounding area, which you can find in a fun way - the so-called stick hunt - and register in the associated app.

Cycling in Kvitfjell

Whether you want action or relaxation, you will find exactly the cycling tour you want in Kvitfjell. With or without a guide. The only thing that is the same on all routes is the beautiful nature. And there are numerous routes to choose from - with different distances, gradients and levels of difficulty. Electric bikes? Yes, you can also rent e-bikes.

Adventure parks and national parks

There are the two large national parks Rondane and Jotunheimen as well as the Hunderfossen Adventure Park. The latter is only a 40-minute drive from Kvitfjell and offers more than 60 attractions and sights, including a water park for young and old. It is advisable to buy tickets early, as they can sell out during peak season.

Around the river Sjoa

Sjoa is considered Norway's best rafting river. Yes, actually one of the best in the world. But Sjoa is also great for other activities such as canyoning - a mix of climbing, jumping and swimming - and trips along the river bank - with wetsuit, fins and helmet. However, it is best to wait a while before taking very young children.
