Rebooking changes are changes in the travel date, destination, place of departure or transport. At the traveller’s requests, rebookings will be carried out as far as possible. In the interest of the traveller (preservation of evidence) and to avoid misunderstandings, rebooking and ticket exchange requests should, in any case, be made in writing. The resulting flat fees are due immediately.
Color Line will charge an adequate compensation of rebookings made by the traveller.
The following terms and conditions for ticket exchange apply to all Color Line ships:
In addition to a possibly higher fare, a fee of € 75,00 (Denmark-Norway)/ € 90,00 (Germany-Norway) will be charged. This is to be paid immediately.
There is no charge for changing the ticket, but if you change to a date/sailing time with a higher fare, you will have to pay the difference in price. This must be paid immediately.
Booking cancellation by the traveller:
The traveller can cancel the trip at any time before departure. In the interest of the traveller (preservation of evidence) and to avoid confusion, the booking cancellation should be declared in writing. The declaration is effective on the date of its receipt by Color Line.
Cancellation by the traveller by not showing up
If a traveller does not show up for the trip for reasons for which Color Line is not responsible, this is considered as a regular cancellation.
In the event of a booking cancellation by the traveller or no-show, which isn’t attributable to Color Line or force majeure, Color Line may demand reasonable compensation.
The following terms and conditions apply:
The fare is non-refundable.
No fees are due for cancellations made up to 24 hours before departure. The fare will fully refunded.
The full fare will be charged as fees for cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure.
Cancellation fees also apply if a traveller does not arrive on time at the respective place of departure indicated in the travel documents.
It’s up to the traveller himself to prove that no, or significantly lower costs were incurred in connection with the cancellation or no-show.
